The Wooster Animal Clinic strives to be the most complete pet care facility available to our clientele. The primary obligation of the doctors and staff at the Wooster Animal Clinic is to care for medical and surgical patients. However, we do provide boarding and grooming services for our clients when it is possible.
The Wooster Animal Clinic was founded in August of 1968. Dr. Mike Yacapraro and his wife, Jane, took out a loan for $1000.00, that Mike's dad had to co-sign for. That loan was to help pay for renovations to a former steakhouse on East Old Lincoln Way that they envisioned turning into a veterinary clinic.
What we have built over the years is more than just a business. We have also built a strong and dedicated staff, many of whom have been with the company for more than 20 years. Our staff includes four doctors, three technicians, and a support staff of 13, which is large for a veterinary clinic in Wayne County. Two of our doctors- Mark Hoverstock, and Mark Yacapraro are now the co-owners of the business.
We have also built a very stable client base. One of the standards we have tried to embody is to treat every pet as if it was our own. Despite living in this modern age of advertisement most of the new patients we see are referred by an existing client.
